Raw Audio Recordings

Gabi Schaffner lives and works between Frankfurt and Berlin, Helsinki and Lobo, Texas as a writer, photographer and radio and sound artist. „raw audio“ is her artist’s name in the field of audio productions since 2002. Others are Geranium Blonde, Meni Nehry-Monte and Sisukas Poronainen.

„raw audio“ draws on the aural qualities and possibilities of site-specific work. Concept albums form another important line in my work. Centered around a single poetic idea, they evolve as hybrids between music, fiction and ethnographic writing.
